Our History

A Legacy Across Generations…

1960 - Makhachkala, Dagestan

Our story begins with Arslan Hajiev, who was the head of the monument manufacturing workshop in a granite factory at the central cemetery of Makhachkala. His mastery over the craft laid the foundation for Hajiev Stones, turning a cooperative into a private business after the Soviet collapse.

1994 - 2004 - A New Era in Azerbaijan:

A significant chapter began when Arslan’s daughter Sona married Ilgar and moved to Azerbaijan. Continuing her father’s business, the family embarked on a journey that solidified Hajiev Stones’ reputation in Azerbaijan. Our commitment to innovation and quality was further strengthened with the opening of the modern high-tech Marble-Granite Plant in 2004. This state of-the-art facility marked Hajiev Stones as the largest granite and marble manufacturer in the country.

2011 - Expansion into Europe:

The family’s vision propelled us into other European countries such as Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Russia. Our granite is brought from all of the world, and mined in the Urals, Ukraine and Turkey, continues to set the standard for quality.

2023 - Remembrance Headstones in the United States:

The Hajiev family’s most recent venture, Remembrance Headstones, has expanded our reach into the United States. With five gallery locations opened in 2023, we are honored to bring our excellent granite and service to new shores, embodying our commitment to quality, competitive pricing, and cultural respect.
