Where can I see headstones in person in Sacramento?

Remembrance Headstones has three points in the Sacramento area, each with a different purpose:

  • Top Showroom — 5349 Elkhorn Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95842. Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is the best place to compare granite colors and finished monuments side by side.
  • Outdoor Showroom — 6443 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608. By appointment. Useful for seeing how upright, slant and bench memorials read outdoors, in daylight.
  • Warehouse — 500 Richards Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95811. A logistics point, not a retail showroom; visits require an advance appointment.

We recommend booking ahead even at the showroom. An appointment makes sure the right specialist, samples and design files are ready for you. All locations are listed on our showrooms and service areas page.

What should I confirm with a Sacramento cemetery first?

Every cemetery sets its own rules, and final acceptance always rests with the cemetery. Sacramento-area families commonly work with memorial parks such as East Lawn, Sacramento Memorial Lawn, St. Mary Catholic Cemetery and the city-run Sacramento Historic City Cemetery — and each has its own section rules. Before you order, ask the cemetery office for its requirements in writing, including:

  • Permitted memorial types for your plot: flat, bevel, slant, upright, companion, bench or ledger.
  • Minimum and maximum dimensions, thickness, and base and foundation requirements.
  • Permitted materials and colors.
  • Permit, setting and installation fees, and who is allowed to install.
  • Whether vases, photographs, lights or other accessories are allowed.

Our team can help with cemetery outreach and paperwork, but the purchaser remains responsible for making sure the selected memorial conforms to the written rules. Our cemetery rules checklist explains each item in detail.

How much does a headstone cost in Sacramento?

Catalog starting prices run from $199.98 for the smallest flat marker to more than $40,000 for large sculpted monuments. Upright designs start from about $4,070.30 and angel memorials from about $11,998.80. The displayed product price does not include taxes, cemetery and permit fees, foundation or installation unless the written quote says otherwise. See our luxury headstone cost guide for the full breakdown by category, and our current payment programs.

How does the ordering process work?

The process follows the same documented steps for every commission:

  • Consultation and cemetery check. Share your cemetery, plot and ideas. We help gather the cemetery’s written requirements.
  • Design proof. Our designers prepare a custom 3D preview with your inscription and artwork. The number of included revisions is product-specific and stated on your quote.
  • Written quote and agreement. The product, inclusions and any services are listed in writing.
  • Production. Work begins only after the payment milestone, cemetery approval, your final design approval, complete order details and the signed agreement are all in place.
  • Delivery and installation. Eligible made-to-order products qualify for complimentary delivery within the 48 contiguous states when the written terms confirm it. Installation is quoted separately once the cemetery, plot, access, permit, foundation, provider, price and schedule are confirmed.

Production, delivery and installation are separate stages, and a specific date is guaranteed only when confirmed in writing. Learn more in our headstone installation guide.

Your consumer rights

The federal FTC Funeral Rule covers funeral homes; it generally does not cover monument sellers or cemeteries without an on-site funeral home. In California, cemeteries and funeral establishments are licensed by the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau, which publishes consumer guides. Whichever provider you choose, ask for an itemized written quote before paying.
